Head out into the wonder of nature on our farm with a llama by your side!

When:

  • Llama hikes are seasonal (April-December with a break in July-August due to heat) 
  • Winter hikes can be scheduled weather permitting

What to expect:

  • This one-of-a kind experience lasts about 90 minutes with 20 minutes in the barn learning about the animals, their history, care, handling, and uses today
  • Maximum of 8-10 people will be on the Public Group Hike, maximum of 10-15 persons on a Private Group Hike
  • We have four llamas and one alpaca, two people will share one llama/alpaca 
  • We then head out for a 45-60 minute hike (stops at your leisure for rests and photos)
  • The hike is about 1.2 miles and the trails consist of wide mowed paths around our 7 tall grass prairies, through woodland trails, and over a shallow creek crossing that leads up and around a large cedar grove with tree tunnels

What to bring and wear:

  • Closed toed shoes are required
  • Comfortable hiking clothes and attire for season may include hat, gloves, jacket, umbrella
  • Bug spray and water
  • Signed liability waiver printed or emailed 
  • Please note we do not have a public restroom

Public Group Hike Rates & Other Info:

  • Fall 2020 rates are $29 per person for a public group hike
  • Wonderful for all ages! Kids 8 and under hike for $15
  • We hike rain or shine, however, conditions including high wind, high heat, lightening, ice, and snow are grounds for cancellation of experience
  • If cancellation occurs due to weather you will be fully refunded and may be offer a time to reschedule

Private Group Hikes & Rates:

  • We offer Private Group Hikes that can be reserved on our website
  • Rates
    • $125 private hike for two
    • $150 private hike for up to 3-5 persons
    • $175 private hike for 6-10 persons
    • $250 private hike for 11-15 persons

*Fall 2020 Season ticket sales will be available on July 15 at 12 Noon CST we are sold out for September, October and November. We may add a few more dates please follow us and check back for updates!
