Send them to Prairie Patch Camp where they will have immersive experiences learning about llamas, goats, and pigs including their care and handling
We will also spend time in nature learning about Iowa’s natural habitats on our preserve and taking inspiration from these experiences for art projects
Half Day Camps run Monday-Thursday from 9am-12pm on select weeks in summer for grades K-8th...don't worry adult camps are coming soon!
Spots are limited to 25 campers per session and registration opensMarch 1st at Noon
June 26-29 Grades K-2nd No Prob-Llama Camp
July 10-13 Grades 3-5th No Drama Llama Camp
July 17-20 Grades 6-8th Llama Wranglers Camp
Campers must have completed the grade listed to register for the grade number
Location
Prairie Patch Farm near Shueyville, Iowa
We will be primarily outdoors and in case of inclement weather camp activities we will be inside the llama barn
What to bring and wear
Closed toed shoes are required
we recommend a rain boot or shoe you don’t mind getting dirty/muddy
A backpack with the following:
Snack and water bottle
Rain coat and hat
Sunscreen applied before camp, bug spray if desired
Camper Policies
We expect each Prairie Patch Camper to be respectful to humans and animals
Campers who present consistent disruptive behavior, disrespect, or who are not able to follow rules and directions will be dismissed from camp and no refunds will be provided
Drop off is between 850-905AM, Pickup is at 12pm
Due to liability we are not able to accommodate additional family or persons to stay on the farm during camp time outside of the camper that is registered

We purchase materials/supplies and spend time curating an amazing experience for your camper, we also compensate our talented staff, therefore tuition is non-refundable unless we can fill the campers spot
