  • this camp is perfect for nature & animal lovers, or for those who would like to experience a taste of farm life and Iowa nature

    campers will have unique & immersive hands on experiences learning about llamas, goats, and pigs including their care & handling

    we will also spend time in nature learning about Iowa’s natural habitats on our preserve and taking inspiration from these experiences for art projects

    projects and activities will vary on grade level and camps are small with 16 kids per session

  • bring the following items to camp everyday

    • wear closed toed shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty & muddy

    • backpack to include:

    • healthy snack & water bottle

    • rain coat & hat

    • sunscreen applied before camp, bug spray optional

  • we expect each camper to be respectful to humans & animals and to follow safety directions and rules of the head llama wranglers

  • $190

    tuition is non-refundable unless we can fill the campers spot

    Half Day Camp runs Monday-Thursday 830am-1130am for grades K-5

    Grades 6-12 run 9am-12pm

    Option to extend campers this year through 1pm is an additional $75 per camper per week

    the last thursday of each camp parents/families are welcome at 1130am for the end of camp llama parade/open house

  • interested in keeping llamas or alpacas, or just simply want to learn more?

    earn your llama wrangler badge by attending one of our adult llama camps

    half day camps are offered a few times a year to include hands on experience with llamas

    learn the history of llamas, their care, how to catch and halter, brushing and leading them on a trail walk

    llama snuggles of course are included

  • closed toes shoes are required

    wear shoes that can get dirty and are waterproof, we will in and around the compost piles and brushing out the animals

  • $125 per camper ages 18+
